This paper looks into the possibility of teaching university students special courses on a range of subjects that would reflect the reality of today’s information society.

We present a list and a brief content of these disciplines concerning information technology and information protection.

A focus is made on a positive outcome, which is likely to be achieved in teaching the Contemporary Innovation Technology courses in Russian universities.
