Live and Learn

an article in The New Yorker by Louis Menand subtitled “Why we have college”

I had thought to put this with the other non-work-related stuff in my irregular trivia series but then realised that

1. it is most definitely work, and
2. it is one of the best analyses of “why go on learning after school” that I have ever read.

It certainly deserves to be more widely read in the UK so please pass it on.
